Pricing
There is no subscription and no markup on inference. A request is billed at the price its serving provider lists, in the unit that provider sells it in — per token for most models, and per image, second, character or request for others. The model list compares the listed prices across providers, and the exact billing units are in Pricing & billing.
Adding credit
Billing is prepaid. $1 of stablecoin becomes $1 of credit, with no deposit fee, and a card payment, where the marketplace offers one, credits the full amount paid. Credit is spent by requests at the listed price and is not refundable: a balance cannot be withdrawn, and the balance of a deleted account is forfeited. Deposits covers the coins, the networks and the card path.
A request that fails before it produces output is not billed for tokens, and a reply that delivers no content is billed for its prompt alone. A charge the marketplace got wrong is refunded as credit with the reason recorded in the ledger.
The marketplace's fee
The fee is a share of what the provider earns, and is not added to the price a customer pays. Each generation records the provider's gross at its listed price, the platform share, and the provider's net.
| Figure | Rate |
|---|---|
| Platform share of a provider's gross | 10% by default; a provider's own cut can be lower |
| Deposit fee | None |
| Reward on accounts you invited | 30% of the platform fee on their spend — 3% of spend |
| Reward on accounts your invitees invited | 10% of the platform fee on their spend — 1% of spend |
| Rebate to an invited account | 10% of the platform fee on its own spend — 1% of its spend |
Referral rewards come out of the platform's share and never reduce what a provider earns. They are paid as credit, once per UTC day, and credit cannot be withdrawn. Spend from an organization's account earns no referral reward. Your account explains how an invitation is attributed.
Limits you control
Three independent spend ceilings — per API key, per workspace and per account — can each stop a request before it runs, and each can reset daily, weekly or monthly. A request is also held against the balance for a conservative estimate and settled to the actual cost afterwards. See spend limits.
For providers
Providers set their own prices and receive the listed price minus the platform share. Each UTC calendar month closes into a statement showing gross, platform share and net. An administrator settles a statement as a payout in USDC on Ethereum mainnet to a wallet the provider has proven by depositing from it, and the statement then carries the transaction hash as its receipt. A statement is not paid while no qualifying wallet is configured, or while payouts are held for the account. The full contract is in Listing your models, and the terms a provider accepts are in the terms of service.
